There are numerous modifications and variations of blepharoplasty surgery that correspond to a spectrum of patients' desires and morphologies. Visible scarification is undesirable to both patients and surgeons. Surface scarification may cause tractional consequences such as lid retraction, ectropion, and dry eye syndrome. We present here techniques to reduce visible scarification. These are especially useful in treating patients between the ages of 20 and 60 years. Over 200 blepharoplasties have been performed using various combinations of minimal-incision blepharoplasty techniques presented here, with no overt complications and high patient satisfaction.
