Abstract
This article discusses a case study of a patient who developed hidradenitis suppurativa (HS)-like inflammatory lesions as a result of treatment with a gamma secretase inhibitor (GSC). HS is a chronic inflammatory disease of the hair follicle, and the development of follicular plugs and subsequent inflammation are believed to play a role in its development. The patient in the case study experienced skin lesions after starting GSC inhibition therapy for a desmoid tumor. The article highlights the importance of properly identifying and managing skin toxicity associated with GSC inhibitors and calls for further research and effective management strategies for this novel category of HS.
