Abstract
A definition of the term "malignant lymphoma" is presented. Malignant lymphomas are neoplasms of the lymphoid tissue. Myeloid neoplasms comprising chronic myeloproliferative disorders, myelodysplastic syndromes and acute myeloid leukemias are excluded, although primary pathogenic events involve the pluripotent hemopoeitic stem cells and their early differentiation steps similar to some of the malignant lymphomas.
