Abstract
The article discusses mental health courses and programs offered by U.S. schools of public health (SPH). Topics covered include the need for public health professionals to be capable of developing, implementing and disseminating policies and programs to prevent or treat mental disorders, recommendations developed by the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) for transforming public health programs, and SPH graduates' use of their training in the workforce.
