Abstract
The article focuses on therapeutic potential of oxytocin in schizophrenia-like psychosis. It mentions the role of neuropeptide in improving social cognition by increasing empathy, improving emotional recognition and enhancing trust. It also mentions the correlation between circulating levels of oxytocin with trust behaviour, and states effect of oxytocin administration in placebo-controlled clinical trials.
