Abstract
The article profiles the composer Kurt Weill. Weill's music is described as a transition from high to low form, highlighting controversy surrounding the authenticity of his popular music aesthetics. Weill's cooperation with the playwright Bertolt Brecht is discussed, citing the simplification of his music and his work "The Threepenny Opera."
