Abstract
For the first time, N, N′-bisacryloylcystamine containing disulfide bond as the cross-linking agent was combined with the molecularly imprinted technology, and a new pH/redox dual stimulus-responsive formononetin imprinting material was successfully prepared. A series of adsorption experiments showed the target material MIP not merely had the excellent drug-loading property with 31.170 mg g−1 of maximum adsorption capacity to the template molecule formononetin under the optimized conditions, but also possessed an admirable selectivity to formononetin with 2.851 of the selectivity factor α and 7.898 of the relative selectivity factor β. Besides, both of formononetin release cumulative amount and balance time for the stuff were respectively sensitive to the dual pH and redox environments. The repeated regeneration experiment exhibited MIP also had the senior stability and strong reusability, and only a small quantity of three-dimensional imprinting cavities got destroyed during the process of cyclic experiments. Accordingly, the research should be of a certain reference value to exploiting the intelligent formononetin delivery system. [Display omitted] • The cross-linking agent BAC with redox response was introduced into the molecular imprinted material. • A pH/redox dual stimulus-responsive formononetin imprinting material was prepared. • High selectivity and high adsorption capacity on formononetin • The MIP was evaluated as drug delivery carrier by performing in vitro release study.
