Abstract
The author comments on the cohort analysis concerning the risk of elevated levels of serum triglycerides. He asserts that the study suggests directions for future research, but did not answered important clinical issues. He reveals that the study only partially untangled the confounding effects of age, overweight and insulin resistance. He concludes that the study is not reliable for clinical application.
