Abstract
The article discusses a retrospective analysis of two pediatric patients with myopathies who developed acute liver failure (ALF) after receiving recommended dosage of acetaminophen. The serum acetaminophen protein adduct levels in the patients were found to be consistent with the values in other pediatric patients who developed ALF following overdose in acetaminophen. The analysis suggested that some myopathy patients receiving recommended dosage of acetaminophen could be at risk for developing ALF.
