Examines the time of expression and the distribution of renal (UT-A) and erythrocyte urea transporters in the developing rat kidney. Use of light and electron microscopic immunocytochemistry; Expression of UT-A in the inner medullary collecting duct in the adult kidney; Absence of UT-A immunoreactivity in the fetal kidney.
