Abstract
Information is given about the Pompeii excavation site where about one-third of the ancient city is open to visitors. The House of Chaste Lovers is an elite residence with commercial quarters that was named for a fresco wall painting and is open to the public. Evidence of damage from an earthquake in 62 A.D. was found in the house's bakery. suspended walkways over the site allow visitors to see the ongoing archaeological research and preservation.
