Abstract
The article offers information on the complex neurobiology of the Neurodegenerative disorders, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). It mentions that neurodegenerative process mainly affects the motor system, with loss of the upper motor neurons in the motor cortex and the lower motor neurons in the brain stem and spinal cord.
