Abstract
The article discusses a study of the factors that influence a rater's performance and behavior when considering multiple competencies in the health profession. Findings include the inverse relationship between the intrinsic rating demands and the indicators of rating quality, the effect of requiring the rater to complete an additional rating task on interrater reliability, and the cognitive strategies used by raters when asked to perform multiple competencies.
