Abstract
The new three-parameter exponentiated power Ishita distribution is introduced, and some of its mathematical properties are addressed. Its parameters are estimated by maximum likelihood, and a simulation study examines the accuracy of the estimates. A regression model is constructed based on the logarithm of the proposed distribution. The usefulness of the proposed models is proved by means of two real data sets. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
