Abstract
The article discusses the impact of restructures on production planning, scheduling and control (PSC) activities and their organization within Corus Construction & Industrial (CC&I) within the Long Products Division. CC&I is a member of a cross-sector business consortium contributing to a research project called Prochart, with the objective of developing an improved understanding of real world PSC practice. PSC problems are often ill-structured with limited information availability leading to decisions being made.
