Abstract
The article focuses on the American Orthoptic Council (AOC) and the American Association of Certified Orthoptists (AACO). According to Richard Freeman, president of AOC, when he first joined the council, all the orthoptist members were women. Ron Biernacki, president of AACO, states that one of the highlights of being the president of the association is co-chairing the Sunday Symposium. It also provides information on the 2008 edition of "The American Orthoptic Journal."
