Abstract
The title complex, [Pr(C8Cl4O4)(H2O)7](C8HCl4O4)·C8H2Cl4O4·H2O, has been synthesized and structurally characterized. The praseodymium(III) ion is coordinated by an O atom of a tetrachlorophthalate ligand and seven O atoms of water molecules. The molecular packing is reinforced by an extensive network of O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
