Abstract
A new,highly efficient procedure for the synthesis of benzothiazolesfrom easily available N-benzyl-2-iodoaniline andpotassium sulfide has been developed. The results show copper-catalyzeddouble C–S bond formation via a traditional cross-couplingreaction and an oxidative cross-coupling reaction. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
