Abstract
This article discusses a case report of a 63-year-old male patient with primary extramammary Paget disease (EMPD), a rare malignant tumor that typically occurs in the genital area. The patient presented with an asymptomatic hypopigmented patch in the right pubic region. Dermoscopy and histological examination confirmed the diagnosis of EMPD, and further examination revealed metastatic EMPD in the lymph nodes. The article highlights the importance of early diagnosis and discusses the use of imaging techniques and dermoscopy in diagnosing EMPD. It also explores the association between hypopigmentation and a worse prognosis in EMPD. The authors conclude that EMPD should be considered in the differential diagnosis of hypopigmented anogenital lesions and that further research is needed to understand the relationship between hypopigmentation and disease progression.
