Abstract
The article presents the findings of the Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring Systems (PRAMS) on preconception health of women in Oklahoma during 2000 to 2003. Based on the PRAMS, 21.5% of women with live birth were not aware of folic acid benefits before they became pregnant. The benefits of PRAMS on the state and local health officials are mentioned. The result showed that 91.4% of Hispanic women are not receiving preconception counseling.
