Abstract
The article discusses the availability of a guideline to facilitate efficient diagnosis and effective treatment of acne vulgaris in Canada. It highlights several categories of acne including comedonal, mild-to-moderate papulopustular and severe inflammatory acne. It also cites the health benefits of the early diagnosis of acne to prevent the growth of active lesions and its adverse psychosocial impact to the individuals.
