Abstract
Tin sulfide has received numerous attentions because of its high theoretical capacity, but the poor rate performance and unsatisfied cycle stability greatly limit its application. In this study, we synthesized tubular nanocarbon/SnS nanosheets/amorphous carbon composites (TNC/SnS@C) by a solvothermal method with an annealing process. The unique hollow structure provides a large space for the volume fluctuations, and the carbon shells can not only maintain good electrical/ions conductivity, but also provide a protection for the structure of the nanocomposite. When used as the anode material for sodium ion batteries, the TNC/SnS@C nanocomposite exhibits a high reversible specific capacity of 409.8 mAh g−1 after 300 cycles at 1.0 A g−1.
