Abstract
The article discusses research which hypothesized that human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination at acute and chronic primary care visits in 37 pediatric practices in the U.S. would have limited or no impact on timelines of subsequent well-visits. Topics covered include the association of HPV vaccination with a reduction in subsequent receipt of preventive care, and missed opportunities for HPV vaccination that leave children at risk for HPV-related cancers.
