Abstract
The article discusses innovative ways in which health professionals and diabetes educators can educate their patients about diabetes. Also cited are the model of care using continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion therapy (CSII) as recommended by the Canberra Health Diabetes service in treating people with type 1 diabetes (T1D), and the use of insulin pump therapy as a treatment.
