Abstract
The article discusses teaching the U.S.'s foreign relations during the Cold War, with a particular focus on sports during this period. An overview of the teaching of race relations and international U.S. sports, including the professional boxer Muhammad Ali's (or Cassius Clay's) participation in the 1960 Rome, Italy Olympic Games, is provided. U.S.'s relations with the Soviet Union are discussed.
