Abstract
A real-world study compared the efficacy of subcutaneous immunotherapy (SCIT) and sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) in patients with allergic rhinitis. The study found that both SCIT and SLIT showed equally superior reductions in allergy symptoms compared to controls, indicating comparable efficacy. However, results from other studies have been conflicting, highlighting the need for further research. The study also found that SCIT had a higher persistence rate than SLIT, with more patients completing a 3-year treatment period. Overall, the study suggests that both SCIT and SLIT have a clinically relevant and comparable effect in real-life settings. [Extracted from the article]
