Abstract
The opening address to the January 23, 2015 conference "Creating Common Good" at the Trinity Institute in New York City, given by Church of England Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, is presented. He discusses a Christian evaluation of economic inequality. Topics include the creation stories in the biblical text of Genesis, the role of wealth in the New Testament, and the role of banking and the finance industry in inequality.
