Abstract
The article reports on the slow growth of health care spending in the U.S. which only reached 3.8 percent in 2009 and 3.9 percent in 2010 than other years in the 51 years of the National Health Expenditure Accounts based on the analysis of "Health Affairs" periodical. It says that health spending was at 17.9 percent in 2010 as a share of the U.S. gross domestic product (GDP). It mentions that consumers' out-of-pocket spending increased by 1.8 percent in 2010.
