Abstract
The article discusses research which explored and characterized the pathological mechanisms of the ulcerative disease. Mortality was observed in fish injected with Aeromonas veronii isolates but no mortality was observed in fish injected with Shewanella spp and Vibrio spp. It suggests that improved husbandry conditions like lowering stocking density and minimizing handling and pond transfer may benefit the protection of Aeromonas infection during Misgurnus anguillicaudatus culture.
