Abstract
The article focuses on the National Comorbidity Survey Replication, and analyzes the prevalence and correlation of workplace with major depressive disorder in the United States. The survey showed that 6.4 percent of the correspondents by the National Comorbidity Survey Replication had 12-month major depression disorder, and 1.1 percent had major depressive episodes due to bipolar disorder. Half of the depressed workers received treatment, while not more than half of the employees received consistent treatment. The survey concluded that employers may benefit from depression disease management programs based on best practice.
