Abstract
The article focuses on a Newfoundlander's evolving perspective on Canada, prompted by his initial lack of knowledge about the country and biased childhood views. Topics include the narrator's humorous misinterpretation of being asked to give a lecture about Canada, his early anti-Canadian sentiments, encounters with Canadians, and reflections on Canada's history, identity, and geographical richness, ultimately leading to a more positive and appreciative outlook on the country.
