Abstract
The article discusses a study of moulting Humboldt penguin population in Chile during 1999-2008. Findings show that the penguin's population size was stable, but varied numbers were observed at individual site. It also indicates the lack of protection in some breeding sites, including Tilgo Island and Pájaros-1 Island.
