Abstract
We investigated a potential relation between the loss of muscle mass and the occurrence of invasive carcinoma in patients with intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) and pancreati neoplasia (PANin). Loss of muscle mass was defined as sarcopenia and sarcopenic obesity using the sceletal muscle index (SMI) and co evaluated with additional demographic, clinical, and imaging data for possible correlation with IPMN or PANin-associated carcinoma.
