Abstract
The article provides information on vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC), a common fungal infection that occurs when there is an overgrowth of the fungus called candida. VVC is also known as a yeast infection and has been categorized into three including episodic VVC, complicated VVC and the possible uncomplicated VVC. It is stated that the diagnosis of VVC is syndromic wherein diagnostic criteria may vary with the clinical setting.
