Abstract
The influence of heat treatments on the structure and the mechanical properties of a Zr55Cu30Al10Ni5 bulk metallic glass is studied. Cyclic treatments above 480 ° C lead to quite unchanged elastic moduli and hardness, while the thermal expansion coefficient keeps decreasing with rising annealing temperature above 460 ° C, whereas a monotonous treatment rises respectively the elastic moduli and the hardness by 30% and 13%.
