Abstract
The article presents the discussion on Hypokalemia resulting from inadequate potassium intake, shifting of potassium (K) from the extracellular to the intracellular space. Topics include Bartter syndrome being an autosomal recessive renal tubular disorder characterized by hypokalemia, hypochloremia, normomagnesemia; and Gitelman syndrome being an autosomal recessive disorder presenting with hypokalemia.
