Abstract
The article summarizes the temperature and precipitation conditions across the Caribbean Area in 2013. Topics discussed include the neutral El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) conditions, the anomalously warm tropical conditions in the North Atlantic, and below-normal hurricane activity across the region. Also mentioned are the above-normal rainfall in April, and the Tropical Storm Chantal that affected banana production in the Dominica in July.
