Abstract
This letter, published in the journal Neurological Sciences, presents a case report of primary neurolymphomatosis (NL) initially manifesting as cubital tunnel syndrome. NL is a rare condition characterized by lymphomatous infiltration of the cranial nerves and peripheral nerve roots, plexuses, or nerves. The patient in this case was a 64-year-old man who experienced muscle weakness and numbness in his left upper limb. After various examinations and tests, including nerve conduction studies, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and 18-Fluoro-2-deoxyglucose positron emission tomography (FDG-PET), the patient was diagnosed with primary NL of the left ulnar and brachial plexuses. The patient underwent chemotherapy and achieved remission, with no recurrence observed 48 months after onset. The authors emphasize the importance of careful assessment of symptoms and the use of FDG-PET and MRI for accurate diagnosis and appropriate biopsy site selection. [Extracted from the article]
