Abstract
The article presents the discussion on Typhoid fever being an acute febrile illness caused by Salmonella enterica serovar Typhi. Topics include effective prevention strategies showing improved access to and use of infrastructure supporting safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH); and establishing health facility–based surveillance with laboratory confirmation for determining disease burden.
