Gestational onset diabetes mellitus does not impact infant allergic outcomes.

Abstract
We conclude there is no convincing evidence that midpregnancy onset gestational diabetes mellitus and maternal glycaemia is associated with the development of eczema, rhinitis and wheeze in the offspring, independent of pre-existing diabetes. The mixed-effect regression model, which considers repeated measures of eczema, rhinitis and wheeze across all time points longitudinally, also demonstrated no consistent significant associations between GDM and maternal glucose levels with these clinical outcomes (Figure 1 and Table S1).
