Abstract
The article titled "Investigation of the expression of immune checkpoint and fatigue-related molecules in cytotoxic T cells in the lymph node near the tumor in breast cancer" explores the expression of immune checkpoint and fatigue-related molecules in cytotoxic T cells in lymph nodes near breast cancer tumors. The study found that cytotoxic T cells in the lymph nodes of breast cancer patients exhibited high expression of PD-1 and CXCR5, indicating a follicular helper T cell-like, exhaustion-related immunophenotype. The study suggests that regional lymph nodes in breast cancer patients contain depleted cytotoxic T lymphocytes with high expression of checkpoint molecules, which may have implications for treatment approaches.
