Abstract
The American Guild of Organists (AGO) is governed by a National Council consisting of ten members, eight of whom are elected by the membership. The council members serve two-year terms and can serve up to five consecutive terms. The AGO is currently reviewing its nominating and governance processes, including the frequency of elections and the number of candidates nominated. The candidates for the 2024-26 term are a diverse and qualified group, with seven of them having earned AGO certification. Regional councillors are also elected through this process, and the leadership of the seven regions is the responsibility of the Board of Regional Councillors. The regional councillors will be known as regional ambassadors starting July 1, 2024. Voting for the election begins on April 1 and ends on April 30. [Extracted from the article]
