Furlan and George Kanoti, was published.1 Based on the criteria modified from Schwartz2 (safety, efficacy, effectiveness, efficiency and outcome), the authors found several ethical problems that were associated with IVT. Surveys of stroke patients and their next of kin on their opinions towards decision-making and consent for stroke thrombolysis. Stroke patients are often old, and some may be cognitively impaired even before the stroke incident. [Extracted from the article]
