Abstract
We performed suture suspension using Silhouette Instalift (Suneva Medical Inc., San Diego, CA) composed of 82% PLLA and 18% PLGA suture, knots and cones during 2 different sessions 1 month apart. At that time, thread lifting was repeated at the bilateral jawlines and neck using 3 sutures (2 8-cone, 1 12-cone per side) totaling 28 cones on each side (6 sutures, 56 cones total) without complication. Here, we report a rare complication of a pathologic foreign body response leading to inflammatory nodule formation in a patient who underwent PLLA/PLGA suture-suspension thread lifting.
