Abstract
The article presents reflections on the relationship between God and Man within Christian theology and life, particularly as it is frequently interpreted in the 21st century. The author criticizes the contemporary practice of perceiving God in an overly personal way. Assertions of the more corporate and mysterious nature of God's relationship to Man are then made referencing passages from the Bible and from various Christian traditions throughout history.
