Abstract
The article describes the case of a 15-year-old boy with right hip pain and fever that had lasted for four days since the day after he underwent marathon training in a physical education class conducted at his junior high school. Topics discussed include his vital signs upon arrival at the emergency department, his diagnosis with pyomyositis of the right internal obturator muscle with osteomyelitis of the pubic and ischium bones, and a discussion on pyomyositis.
