Abstract
The article provides information on the surveillance data regarding antimicrobial susceptibility and serovar distribution of Neisseria gonorrhoeae isolated in Greece based on the information collected from 2005 to 2008. It says that pulsed field gel electrophoresis is used to investigate the genetic similarity of the isolates in phenotypic clusters. The results showed that the resistance rates and intermediate susceptibility for penicillin have increased despite isolation frequency reduction.
