Abstract
If left untreated, the mortality due to enterolith causing complications is around 3%.6 In conclusion, enterolith should also be considered in differential diagnoses in patients with diverticular diseases presenting with acute small bowel obstruction. Enteroliths are classified into primary enteroliths (formation occurs within the intestinal lumen) and secondary enteroliths (formation occurs outside the intestinal lumen).
