Abstract
The article presents ideas for how college teachers in the humanities can collaborate together to write scholarly books. It is noted that in the humanities, most texts published have only one author except for edited collections. The authors share their experiences co-writing the book "Women, Literature, and the Domesticated Landscape: England's Disciples of Flora, 1780-1870." Their goal in writing the book was to bridge English literature and art history. The way in which they planned the book, the way that they communicated with each other, and the sense they had about the project when they began. The way that they divided the writing of the book by chapter between themselves and the writing process is described.
