Abstract
The article explores the moral and ethical issues surrounding the importance in telling the truth in the context of health care. It notes that health professionals have the responsibility to be honest with her patient in accordance with the professional codes of conduct. It mentions that more importance has been given to patient autonomy, shared decision-making, and better communication with patients particularly in Western health care.
